We've got fantastic news for agents planning on selling 2025 Medicare products. The maximum broker compensation for Medicare Advantage and Part D PDP plans has increased for the tenth year in a row!
Below is a chart comparing the Medicare Maximum Broker Compensation for 2024 vs. 2025.
NOTE: CMS rounded the FMV amounts for CY 2025 up to the nearest dollar. The Initial Year amount is the maximum allowable amount that organizations may pay for enrollments during compensation cycle-year 1. The renewal amount is the maximum allowable amount that organizations may pay for enrollments during compensation cycle-years 2 and beyond, for a like plan type. Insurance providers are not required to pay the maximum Medicare commission rate. We’ll let you know when insurance companies release their 2024 filings.
Initial compensation increased from $100/member/year to $109/member/year.
Renewal compensation increased from $50/member/year to $55/member/year.
These numbers are broken out by state/region.
For CA and NJ, initial MA compensation increased from $762/member/year to $780/member/year. Renewal compensation increased from $381/member/year to $390/member/year.
For CT, PA and DC, initial MA compensation increased from $689/member/year to $705/member/year. Renewal compensation increased from $345/member/year to $353/member/year.
For Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, initial MA compensation increased from $418/member/year to $428/member/year. Renewal compensation increased from $209/member/year to $214/member/year.
In all other states, initial MA compensation increased from $611/member/year to $626/member/year. Renewal compensation increased from $306/member/year to $313/member/year.
